AV Service Technician – Crestron / AMXStep into Service | Enterprise AV | Long‑Term Career GrowthOur top enterprise customer is looking for an experienced AV Service Technician to support and maintain cutting‑edge audiovisual systems for their existing client base. This is an ideal opportunity for a 5+ year AV installer who wants to transition into service work — or a servicetechnician ready to work on high‑end, complex systems in executive environments.If you enjoy troubleshooting, working directly with customers, and being the go‑to technical expert in the field, this role was built for you.What You’ll Be Working OnYou’ll be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across a wide range of enterprise AV systems, including:Custom Control Systems: Crestron DM & NVX, AMXComplex AV Systems in executive boardrooms and conference centersVideo Conferencing SystemsAV over IP (AVoIP) across LAN, WAN, and internet environmentsAudio DSP Systems: amplifiers, speakers, microphonesProjection Systems & DisplaysVideo Walls & Digital SignageRF Systems (basic exposure – analog & digital)Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot system, signal, and connectivity issues using a multimeter and diagnostic toolsPerform preventative maintenance on client systemsConduct site surveys to support service agreements and quotesWrite clear, concise service reports and system documentationManage multiple service calls and priorities independentlyInterface professionally with enterprise-level customersLead and mentor junior/intermediate field technicians when neededWhat We’re Looking For3+ years of AV field service experience (5+ years of installation experience considered)Strong troubleshooting mindset — you know how to isolate and resolve issuesHands-on experience with Crestron and/or AMX systemsComfortable working in executive and customer-facing environmentsOwn basic hand tools and understand proper field practicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsCTS certification (highly preferred)Two‑year technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experienceWhy This Role?Work on high-end, enterprise AV systemsClear path from installation to service specializationLong‑term stability supporting existing customers (not construction-only work)Opportunity to be the trusted technical expert in the fieldJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
