Clinical Informaticist Status: Part Time with Opportunity for Full Time (See Schedule Below) - Non-Exempt

**This position does not offer H-1B Visa Sponsorship Purpose and Scope of Position This position will assist with both clinical and technical information systems to enhance the end user experience. In conjunction with the IT Coordinators, the IT Clinical Support Specialist serves as a liaison between clinical operations and information technology teams, providing technical support for healthcare applications, hardware, software, and clinical systems. This role ensures clinicians and staff have reliable access to technology that supports patient care, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and organizational goals. The specialist troubleshoots technical issues, supports clinical workflows, assists with system implementations, and provides end-user education and support.
Duties and Responsibilities - Clinical Systems Support
- Provide first-level support for electronic health record (EHR) systems and ancillary clinical applications.
- Troubleshoot issues involving clinical documentation, order entry, medication administration, scheduling, and patient management systems.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to analyze workflow challenges and recommend technology-based solutions.
- Assist with testing, validation, upgrades, and implementation of clinical applications.
- Support system optimization efforts to improve clinician efficiency and patient safety.
- Participate in downtime planning and recovery procedures for clinical systems.
- Technical Support
- Respond to service requests and incidents
- Maintain workstations, laptops, tablets, scanners, and clinical devices.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and authentication systems.
- Document issues, resolutions, and support activities.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate technical or vendor resources.
Job Requirements - Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or professional certification in information technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, or a related field required.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of clinical experience in a hospital or other medical facility
- Current Montana driver's license and ability to be insured
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Current Montana license as a Registered Nurse is preferred
- Knowledge of Cerner is preferred
- Informatics certifications or credentialing are preferred
- Managerial Experience

Schedule - Part Time (20 hours per week in Clinical Informatics)

- Full Time (20 hours in Clinical Informatics & 10-20 hours in patient care or other assigned clinical roles)
